The Historical Station Casino, which was realized in the early Republican Period in the years when universal architecture was given importance, is waiting to be demolished as one of the most important buildings with contemporary lines.

The Historical Gar casino, which was designed by Architect Şekip Sabri Akalın in 1937 with the idea of entertaining foreign guests coming to Ankara in the years of the establishment of the Republic and having dinner with the families of Ankarans and eating in a musical environment, hosted many famous revues and dance stars of the world until the 60s. The Historical Gar Casino, which brought together the stars of Turkish Art Music such as Zeki Müren, Behiye Aksoy with the people of Ankara, was used as the THY Terminal for a long time.

After the departure of Turkish Airlines from the building, the Historical Gar Casino, which remained empty until today and was abandoned to its fate, began to decay in places due to the indifference of the authorities and was surrounded by it. The buildings have been thoroughly obsolete for use purposes such as the underpass built by the Ankara Metropolitan Municipality in recent years and the TCDD Train Station parking lot.

At the time of the historical Gar Casino. Ankara Train Station, Ankara Palas, was designed to be used in the triangle of the Turkish Grand National Assembly. Foreign guests and delegations visiting Ankara, where there is almost no air transportation, reached Ankara with the current station, where they had to come by train, and from there they went directly to Ankara Palas, where they would stay. They were holding their official meetings in the Parliament building just opposite. In the evening, they would go to the Historical Station Casino to have a nice meal and have fun at the same time.
